FinPOS — Privacy Policy

FinPOS (“the app”) is a personal spending tracker for Android. This policy explains exactly what
the app does with your data. The short version: everything stays on your device, and
nothing is ever sent anywhere.
What the app accesses
With your explicit permission (Android Notification access), FinPOS reads
notifications posted by your bank and payment apps — monobank, Privat24 / ПриватБанк, ПУМБ,
and Google Pay / Google Wallet — in order to detect your transactions (amount, currency,
merchant, masked card number, time) and show them to you as a spending summary with categories.
The app reads only notifications from those specific apps; all other notifications are ignored.
What happens to that data
- It is processed entirely on your device and stored in the app’s
private local database.
- It is never transmitted off the device. The app has no internet
access — it does not request the Android
INTERNET permission, contains
no networking code, and includes no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party
SDKs.
- It is not shared with the developer or any third party, because it never
leaves your phone.
- Android auto-backup is disabled for the app, so this data is not copied to
any cloud backup.
Your control over the data
- You can delete everything the app has stored at any time using “Clear database”
inside the app.
- Uninstalling the app permanently removes all of its stored data.
- You can revoke Notification access anytime in Android Settings →
Notifications → Notification access; the app then stops reading any notifications.
Data collection summary (Google Play Data Safety)
- Data collected or shared with the developer / third parties: None.
All processing is on-device and no data is transmitted off the device.
- Data handled on-device only: financial transaction information and the content
of the bank/payment notifications listed above.
- Encryption: stored in the app’s private (sandboxed) storage.
- Deletion: users can delete all data in-app or by uninstalling.
Children
FinPOS is a personal-finance utility intended for adults and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new
“Last updated” date.
